The Xbox One Game Preview program is looking pretty sparse at the moment, but fear not, because EVERSPACE launches on it today to add a bit of shooting in space.
After a super successful Kickstarter, ROCKFISH Games have announced that their fast-pace roguelike space shooter is launching on Xbox One via Game Preview and it’s available right now for $29.99 (although UK gamers might not be able to see it as of yet). But what will EVERSPACE bring to the program? Well, after already releasing on Steam in a similarly unfinished state of development, it’s received a very positive reception, with people praising the visuals, engaging gameplay and the intuitive controls.
Upon its Xbox One launch, players can experience an all-new boss fight, voice-acted dialogs, a new planet type, and additional Outlaw stations. Other little gameplay and interface tweaks have been made too; however, the best is yet to come. In the months the follow, two brand new player ships will be added; the Colonial Scout –a smaller ship than the standard Interceptor, with insane manoeuvrability and a higher top speed – and the Colonial Gunship – slow but really strong and has an upgradable turret on top.
EVERSPACE is also heading to Game Preview on Windows 10 later this month and will be the inaugural ID@Xbox title to be a part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. A full release is scheduled for the end of Q1 2016, when EVERSPACE will feature a fully voiced story full of well designed charactes, situation-based events, a Hardcore Mode and VR support. Be aware that if you wait until the full release, the price rises to $39.99/€36.99/£29.99.
