The Xbox Game Preview scheme has gotten a slimy new addition today, in the form of Slime Rancher. That lifelong dream of wrangling slimy creatures can now be realised on Xbox One!
Each day presents a new challenge in the role of plucky young rancher, Beatrix LeBeau, who’s trying to earn a living light years away from Earth. You can suck things up using a vacuum and shoot them out too, two key actions that’ll be useful for looking after an eco-system of slimes, all of whom have their own wants and needs. It’ll even allow the player to squeeze in a bit of science by combining slimes and creating new species.
Slime Rancher is available via Game Preview for £15.99, but for those debating an early purchase, there’s also a free trial on offer.
