Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 32 – Winter

-

Pull on your wooly pulleys as it is Winter in Mexico, and in the world of Forza Horizon 5 we all know what that means, right? Yep, more weekly Festival Playlist Weekly Challenge shenanigans to keep us entertained and racing hard through Series 32 Winter!

We are now about 60% of the way towards getting the reward cars of Series 32, all for completing enough races, which is really not bad in a couple of weeks, so well done guys. Off road racers do seem to have pulled ahead, so get on the asphalt and let rip.

For now though let’s dive into Horizon Race Off and see what is in store with the Weekly Challenges for Series 32 Winter.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Innovation or Ambition?

This week’s challenge gives us a choice of two cars – A 2000 Nissan Silvia Spec – R or a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X GSR. Out of the two, I think it is the Evo that I would choose in real life, even though the Silvia is undoubtedly the prettier of the two.

Pick your poison and we can then crack on.

Should you not have one in your garage, then they are available in the Autoshow, at 35,000  and 43,000 credits respectively.

Chapter 1 – Last but not Least

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.

Chapter 2 – Coming Through

Now we need to reach 100 mph in our weapon of choice. Should be easy enough in stock trim, no?

Chapter 3 – It’s in the Details

Take a photo. Series 32 Winter does seem to be a little dumbed down…

Chapter 4 – Flying High

Earn 6 stars at any Danger Sign, so just have a few goes.

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 32.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, Eventlab making a triumphant comeback, PR Stunts and no less than four Seasonal Championships this week!

The Trial – Smooth Cruising

This week we need an A Class 800 Super Saloon and there is a fair bit of choice.

I went for a BMW M5 from 2009, and the share code you need is 485527590.

The prize for managing to find people who actually want to race The Trial like it should be done is a Mini JCW Buggy.. Special mention to the guy who decided the best thing he could do at the start of the second race last week was to push me wide of the first checkpoint. Cheers mate!

Eventlab – WONDER2K19 Presents Sneezin Dragon Circuit.

For this event, we need a Retro Hot Hatch tuned to only C Class 600, and as always, a stock Civic type R from 2004, as it is already at the tuning limit, is my steed of choice.

Stay away from the edges on this very short lap to avoid crashing out, and it is good fun.

For winning out, we can take away a Mini Countryman.

PR Stunt 1 –  Trailblazer – Malpais

We need an S2 Class car for this, and what better than a BMW X5M FE? Share code for mine is: 519084427.

We need to clear the course with more than 20 seconds on the clock, and this is a piece of cake in this beastie.

Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

Seasonal Championship 1 – Decade in the Making

We need to use a car from the 2010s, tuned to S1 Class 900 for this set of races, and so I chose a BMW M5 from 2018, share code: 929137542.

For winning out, we can take home a Ford Transit SSV.

Seasonal Championship 2 – In Rain, Wind or shine

We need an A Class 800 car here, and the category is “All Weather Warriors”. That is most cars with a roof, surely?

Anyway, from the permitted cars, I chose a Jeep Trailcat, that has no doors, and the share code is : 118411445.

The prize for winning is a VW Golf R from 2014.

Seasonal Championship 3 – Old Skool Cool

We need a Retro Supercar tuned to S1 Class 900 and so I chose a Bugatti EB110, which I have always loved. Share name is “S1EB” with my GT, Red620Ti. Only 1.7 mill!

A BMW M3 08 is the reward.

Seasonal Championship 4 – Play of the Game

Not an invitation to play Overwatch, but the requirement to jump into a German car tuned to B Class 700. I chose a BMW M5 from 1988, share code : 706895453.

For winning out, we can get a Infiniti Q60.

Part 3: Other Challenges

There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 32 Winter. A Photo Challenge, a Treasure Hunt, Collectibles and some Playground Games fun to get busy with.

Photo Challenge – #HOMERUN

We have to photograph a Sports Utility Hero car at the Estadio Jose Aguilar this week, so pick one and get snap happy. This is not the big stadium in the middle, but is instead in Guanajuato. See the photo below for the location.

Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece.

The reward? A new top, an Apex Predators Hoodie. Woo.

Treasure Hunt – Buick Skills

The clue this week reads “Get on board and skillfully smash through 5 strong plywood in your Regal vehicle.”.

The photo shows a Buick Regal, somewhat surprisingly, and I guess we need to smash 5 billboards?

The chest contains 100FP. See below for its location.

Collectibles – On Par

We need to smash a few things this week. I’ll stick a picture of what and where below for your perusal. Basically, look around Club de Opalo de Fuego for helmets. No sniggering at the back!

We get a new Emote, Pinata Pop.

Horizon Open – Monster V. Monster

We need to complete a Horizon Open Event in either a Rally Monster car or a Hypercar.

I can’t recommend a tune, as it could be any class, but do your best. At least you just need to complete it, not win!

We will win a new song for taking part, Dusky – Ingrid is a Hybrid. Must save on the fuel bills…

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Horizon Nexus

Get in an S2 998 car and get sideways! We need a  Stock Hoonigan Hoonicorn that will do the job well. We have to score 138,000 points to triumph.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Fire and Ice

We need to use a Ford this week, tuned to S1 Class 900. I went with a Mustang, a Shelby GT500 from 2020 to be exact. Share code is : 335181307.

Completing the championship will get us a Ram Power Wagon.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt -Danger Sign – La Cantera

Get ready to go in an S2 Class car, any in fact, as you look to soar over 400m to win.

What could be more suitable than a BMW X5M FE? Share code for mine is : 519084427.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. You know, those things we really don’t need…

Seasonal Championship – Touring through Dirt

An offroad event in Super GT cars, tuned to S1 Class 900? Sounds like a recipe for carnage! I used a Ferrari 812 Superfast, share code : 261040765.

For winning either solo or in a convoy, it is a Ford Coupe ‘40 that we can win.

The rewards for Series 32 and Winter in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 32 now well underway, those new season reward cars are up for grabs. And they are the #2 Audi S1 for 80 points and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder for 160. You should have the first of these by now, assuming you have collected all the cars so far.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 32 as well. There is River Scramble and Vista Del Mar Sprint, which does mean that there are only two to go at this month. Put in a clean lap in each to score 4 whole points towards the prize cars.

Grab enough points and Series 32 Winter also sees you given access to the exclusive Mustang SVT 03 for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Toyota 4Runner, a hard to find car apparently.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
