Ahoy, mateys! Welcome aboard the latest and greatest in pirate gaming fare, with the launch of Fort Defense. This swashbuckling take on the tower defence genre will have you doing ferocious battle across both land and sea, as you seek to become the ultimate pirate, and get your dirty mitts on all that booty!

Coming to us from developers Creobit and publishers 8floor, Fort Defense originally released on PC way back in 2015, and on PlayStation in 2017. That might not have quite been the time when Blackbeard and others were roaming the high seas, but it may as well have been!
In the present, however, Fort Defense is finally on Xbox, and brings with it two worlds to explore, more than 20 levels to conquer, and a variety of enemies to despatch of. Luckily, you not only have swords and cannonballs to duel with, but also a number of super-powerful spells. You’ll also be able to spend some of your time away from the battlefield in the in-game store, searching for whatever upgrades you require to beat a particularly tricky stage.
But, of course, this is a tower defence game at the end of the day. Expect to have access to a multitude of different units you can place across the level; strategy is key in order to destroy your enemies early doors, before they return enough fire of their own!
