In need of a new simulator? Whilst AirportSim may not see you flying high, it will allow you the chance to scratch a simulator itch. And it’ll let you do so on Xbox.
Nail the landing
With positive reviews kicking around on Steam, AirportSim now lands on Xbox, looking to find a home in the world of a host of new simulator enthusiasts. Don’t expect this to be rivalling Microsoft Flight Simulator for utter realism, more in line with the likes of SimAirport and Airport Simulator 2019. We wouldn’t expect anything anywhere near the madness of An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs either.
Dive in and pay up the required asking price of AirportSim though and you may be surprised by what is on offer. AirportSim is an Advanced Airport Ground Handling Simulator with true-to-life visuals and operations, licensed planes and vehicles, real airports and live weather conditions via the METAR system. At least that’s if we go by the press blurb we’ve been sent.
It should mean that it’s an enjoyable game to take in either alone or with up to three friends locally. How it works is anyone’s guess, but we’ll cover things in full review.
How many game modes?
Further, there are multiple game modes in AirportSim and release on Xbox…
- Scenario: Based on stacked flight plans, predefined weather conditions and tasks you’ll need to complete in sequence.
- Challenge: Feel like you can handle any situation at the airport? Test your skills by placing as high as possible on the scoreboard!
- Co-op: Together you can do more, and have more fun – invite your friends to join you on an adventure at one of the busy airports.
- Free Play: No rules here, explore airports at your own speed and do as you please. You can watch the planes come and go or get involved, you decide!
