You may have seen The Palace on the Hill over on PC or mobile previously, but now the slice-of-life sim comes to charm the Xbox world.
Available right now via the Niku Games Studio team, The Palace on the Hill has gathered up some critical acclaim since launch on other formats. In fact, looking at the Steam page as we type and there are some ‘Positive’ and ‘Very Positive’ reviews kicking around on there; albeit it, in low numbers.
A heartfelt tale – now on Xbox
The move to bring The Palace on the Hill to Xbox then is one that should excite. Not only does it give a whole new wave of players the chance to partake in this heartfelt narrative game, but it should allow for some new promotion, temping in others from elsewhere.
It’s priced at £16.74 from the Xbox Store, and that should mean it’s tempting enough to take a bit of a punt on. We’ll do just that and drop a review as soon as we can.
Dive in to The Palace on the Hill and you’ll discover a delicate little story that focuses on ambition, on struggles and on friendship, all playing out through the eyes of a young child of 1990’s India. With era and locale culture, art and history front and centre, we’re not sure why you wouldn’t want to play.

The Palace on the Hill is on the Xbox Store, with a download playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Give it a shot if you’re temped by the opportunities.
Alternatively, your mobile store should also be able to provide a download, as can Steam.
