And that’s a bit of luck really as this one has been inspired by that game. The question is, will it have enough about it to compete with the genre leader?

With a price of £4.19, it stands a chance. Cheap enough to purchase, Arrowstorm Ascendant is likely to appeal to a huge range of Xbox players, as they fire up their Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles and hope to control the lands within. They’ll do so by taking charge of a humble archer, left to take on – and hopefully, defeat – hordes of dragons.
But don’t think you’ll just be equipped with a little bow and arrow. In Arrowstorm Ascendant a series of skill cards will also come to the fore, each providing upgrades to your skillset, helping you craft the most powerful archer the world has ever seen. With coins kicking around too, and that roguelike – or roguelite – aspect powering things on, we know how this one is going to end. Addiction, probably.
Should you be a fan of Vampire Survivors, or any one of the numerous clones that have landed in the gaming world since that game started breaking records, then Arrowstorm Ascendant on Xbox may well be worth a consideration. It’s fully optimised for Xbox Series X|S too.
