Another big week is on the horizon for Game Pass subscribers, as the service undergoes a bit of a revamping, bringing in new games, axing others. But how will the changes affect you?
This coming week sees the introduction of a new game to the Xbox and PC Game Pass service, with Core Keeper landing as a Day One debutant. The thing is, there are more games moving out, shifting to make way in return. Will we miss them? Quite possibly.
Game Pass is changing – again
Core Keeper is set to make a splash on Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass, inviting players on an unforgettable subterranean adventure. As an explorer awakened in a forgotten cavern, you’ll embark on a journey filled with mystery and discovery.
This cooperative (2-8 players online) mining sandbox offers a dynamic world ripe for exploration. Harvest resources, craft powerful tools, and build your base as you uncover hidden secrets. With a focus on player choice, your actions will shape the narrative and the evolution of your surroundings.
You’ll get to level up your skills, face formidable Titans, and harness the power of the Core. But there will also be the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, as well as encountering the enigmatic Cavelings and create a truly personalised experience in this enchanting underground realm.
You’ll find Core Keeper releasing, Day One on Game Pass come August 27th. Stay tuned for a review.
Leaving Game Pass
But in order for Core Keeper and others to come to Game Pass, room must be made. This time around we say goodbye to Atomic Heart, Guilty Gear -Strive- and NBA 2K24. Losing the latter is no big deal as NBA 2K25 is pretty much here, but Atomic Heart may well see some gamers shed a tear.Â
Let us know your thoughts though in the comments. All three games will be shifted out come August 31st.
What’s next for Game Pass
September will no doubt be another great month for Game Pass subscribers, with new additions rolling out over the month. First up will be Star Trucker, releasing Day One on Xbox, PC and the Cloud. Keep an eye out for it.Â
