What’s that? Your Game Pass subscription is changing again? Oh yes…
This week sees a couple of new additions to the Game Pass service, whether that be across the full Ultimate offering or the slightly more stripped back Game Pass Core. Whatever, you’ll want to get in on the action with the new games being added.
Should you have a Game Pass subscription, then you may find this coming week to be a bit of a slow one – at least until the Xbox gods shadowdrop some stuff at Gamescom (that WILL happen, no!?).Â
What we do know though is that there is one new addition to the Game Pass Ultimate service that the vast majority of us subscribe to. It’s a game that you’ll want to be playing too – Atlas Fallen. Alongside that comes some new movers into the Game Pass Core service.
Atlas Fallen
Being added to Game Pass Ultimate on August 22nd is Atlas Fallen.
Atlas Fallen is an action RPG set in a desolate, sandy world oppressed by a corrupt god. Players will explore this mysterious land, battling colossal creatures with shape-shifting weapons powered by sand.
By absorbing the essence of defeated enemies, you can customise your abilities, becoming the ultimate champion. And best of all? The game can be enjoyed solo or cooperatively.
Tempted? Read our full review of Atlas Fallen and then get a download moving from the Xbox Store. It’s just had a free Reign of Sand update too.Â
Game Pass Core sub?
But what if you subscribe to Game Pass Core? Well, come August 21st you’ll be treated to a couple of new additions in the form of Cities: Skylines (brilliant game), Control: Ultimate Edition (another brilliant game) as well as SnowRunner (tick number 3 in the brilliant game column).Â
We’re not sure Core has ever seen such a good day for new gaming additions. You really should be jumping in with two feet asap.
What’s coming to Game Pass soon?
There are further movers in the weeks ahead. Core Keeper lands on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Cloud come August 27th, with Star Trucker dropping as a Day One addition on September 3rd.Â
As always, a few move out come the end of the month – get ready to say goodbye to Atomic Heart, Guilty Gear -Strive- and NBA 2K24.
So, a good or bad few weeks for Game Pass subscribers? The comments are below if you want to drop your thoughts in.Â
